Provincial Grand Primo 2009   Bro Alex Niven R.O.H

MALTA VISIT

Brothers of the Portsmouth Province attended the opening of the second Lodge on the island of Malta. Those that attended were Br. Alex Niven R.O.H P.G.P 2009 with Br. Peter Linford R.O.H, BR. Charles Shephard R.O.H and Br. Simon Ward. These Brothers met at the Royal British Legion club in Malta. There they met up with the Grand Primo Bro William A C J Hartmann R.O.H, Bro Chris McMahon R.O.H Grand Sec, Br. Ray Attwood R.O.H G.C.1997 Br. Alan Foxall R.O.H and Br. Alan Pilton, these together with Br’s of the Island Lodge. The Grand Primo explained what was going to happen and its meaning; Br Bill did a wonderful job of this. Br Bill initiated Mr David Brindle into the order and welcomed Br David into our Order and the First new member of the Lodge. Bro Bill did say that as the two main Grand Lodge Officers are present at the opening and the initiation he preceded to present Br David with the first degree parchment and scroll. Then The Grand Primo Presented the three founders with Founders Jewels. After this Br Bill installed the first Worthy Primo Br Arthur Shephard R.O.H. Who proceeded to elect his officers.

Br Charles Shephard R.O.H presented the Grand Primo with a Jewel to commemorate this event. The Lodge was then closed to allow the Ladies into our presence and to enjoy the draw plus the food that was laid on. The Brothers of Malta gave all of us a very warm welcome. Thank you to the Brothers of the Island Lodge for their time and we hope to see them again in the not to distant future.

A new Member of  the Pyramids Lodge, who has bought in many D’s and was presented with a K9 certificate.
